Drawing on years of theoretical and applied experience I can deliver training and information programs to suit your requirements. I have conducted seminars and extended training sessions on a variety of cultural topics, ranging from basic introductions to Arab and Islamic culture to more in-depth programs on the religious, political, and social history of Islam. Among the recipients of these sessions and programs have been schools, Department of Trade employees, and government agencies, including those of law enforcement.

My cultural training philosophy is based on the fundamental premise that no social, national, ethnic or religious group is wholly homogenous, and that an understanding of the shared and disparate characteristics of a given group of people is essential to avoid stereotyping. My training programs identify common patterns within Arab and Islamic culture but also contextualize differences in order to generate a clearer understanding of the contemporary environment.
